Chung Fung Metal (Pty) Ltd recognises the importance of responsible corporate citizenship and the role it plays in South Africa’s socio-economic development. The Company commits to allocating an annual budget towards Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives that promote sustainable development, empowerment, and community upliftment.

CSI is an integral part of Chung Fung Metal’s commitment to ethical business practices, sustainable growth, and compliance with national development priorities, while enhancing its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.

FUNDING GUIDELINES

  • Projects must have a clear developmental focus
  • Funding must promote capacity building and sustainability
  • Individuals will not be funded directly
  • Clear deliverables and reporting requirements will apply All funding decisions will be transparent and documented

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

All funded initiatives will be monitored and evaluated to ensure compliance, effective use of resources, and sustainable social impact. Periodic reports and impact assessments will be required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Priority will be given to initiatives supporting mathematics, science, engineering, technology, vocational training, apprenticeships, learnerships, and work-readiness programmes aligned to the metal and manufacturing sectors.

DURATION OF SUPPORT

CSI engagements are typically structured over a period of three (3) years, subject to satisfactory performance and evaluation.
